The Pittsburgh Steelers will regret for life not drafting Shedeur Sanders - They ed on him four times

One of the biggest controversies from the recent NFL Draft was the case of Shedeur Sanders, who continues to stir debate. For now, Deion Sanders' son is with the Cleveland Browns, and reports from the team's rookie minicamp indicate that he's performing very well.

Sanders was snubbed-rejected by several teams that today are in need of a quarterback. Among them are the New Orleans Saints, who surprisingly selected Tyler Shough in the second round, and the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are still awaiting an answer from Aaron Rodgers.

The Pittsburgh Steelers were one of the teams projected to draft Shedeur Sanders, but they ed on him four times and ultimately selected Will Howard, the championship-winning quarterback from Ohio State, in the sixth round.

Shedeur Sanders doesn't have an easy path. He arrived in the NFL as a fifth-round pick and is competing with four quarterbacks on the Cleveland Browns roster: Deshaun Watson (injured), Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and fellow rookie from the University of Oregon, Dillon Gabriel.

Reaction to Shadeur Sanders drop in the Draft

Nonetheless, controversy still surrounds Sanders and how the Pittsburgh Steelers dismissed him. Now, former Cleveland Browns defensive back and current podcaster Hanford Dixon made a strong statement, saying Pittsburgh made a major mistake in ing on Sanders-one they'll regret for a long time.

"They're going to pay," Dixon said. "I guarantee you, Shedeur Sanders is going to make them pay every time we play them. Twice a year, he's going to make them pay."

Despite the mistake of not selecting Shedeur Sanders, Dixon believes the Steelers still had a solid NFL Draft. It's worth noting that Pittsburgh took Derrick Harmon, a defensive tackle from the University of Oregon, in the first round.

"I'll give them a B+ for their draft. They've got some really good players," Dixon said. "They have players I think can step in and help them right away. But I think what's going to hurt them, what's going to haunt them, is not picking Sanders when they had the chance."

So we'll see if Dixon is right and whether the Steelers will regret not drafting Shedeur Sanders. If Deion's son surprises everyone and becomes the starter for the Browns, he'll face Pittsburgh twice a year in the AFC North Division matchups.
