After missing the 2024 NFL postseason, CeeDee Lamb has witnessed the major changes that the Dallas Cowboys have undergone during the preseason.
The first decision Jerry Jones made was to part ways with head coach Mike McCarthy after five seasons in Dallas. The former Packers coach was replaced by Brian Schottenheimer, the Cowboys' previous offensive coordinator.
But the Cowboys have also made significant changes to their players. In addition to the retirement of All-Pro guard Zack Martin, Lamb's addition to George Pickens may have been the most important.
George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb as one
On May 7, Jones made a surprising trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers, acquiring Pickens for a 2026 third-round draft pick and a 2027 fifth-round draft pick.
On Thursday, the Cowboys held their second day of organized team activities (OTA), with Lamb and Pickens in attendance for the voluntary workout.
According to ESPN's Todd Archer, after Lamb made a mistake and dropped to the ground to do some push-ups, Pickens ed him in a show of .
"CeeDee Lamb couldn't connect a deep to Dak Prescott and then dropped to the ground to do some push-ups," Archer wrote on X. "George Pickens did the push-ups alongside Lamb. The first time I'd seen it!".
NFL fans appreciated Pickens' moment with Lamb and expressed their views on social media.

"I'm glad to see that ability is now measured in push-up reps. Super Bowl is coming!" said one fan.
"This means something to me," added another.
"I think George Pickens is going to be a cowboy in the foreseeable future, I don't care," claimed a third.
"My God, we do have a developing culture, I don't know how to feel," wrote a fourth.
"George Pickens is going to be great in Dallas. Lamb and Pickens are going to feast," commented one .
"TEAM ABILITY!! If one fails, we all fail! Love to see that from the newcomer GP!" posted a sixth.
Pickens will make his Cowboys debut on Thursday, September 4 against the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in the 2025 NFL opener.
