Superstar actress Halle Berry has sent her congratulations to US Olympics star Simone Biles.
It was an Olympic Games to for Biles in Paris, with the gymnast righting the wrongs of Tokyo by scooping up four medals, including three golds and one silver.
Biles may have split opinion with her withdrawal in Tokyo, but she lit up the Games in Paris, capturing audiences not only with her performances but with her smiles and positive energy that spread throughout the gymnastics arena.
Having finished her campaign with a silver medal, missing out on the floor exercise to Rebeca Andrada, Biles posted an image on social media with her four medals around her neck and a beaming smile on her face. She captioned it: "more than my wildest dreams."
In response to that, star actress and former 'Bond girl' Halle Berry dubbed Biles the "GOAT", which means "Greatest of All Time."
Commenting on the post, Berry wrote: "I know you are so proud of yourself ! You inspire us all to strive for excellence! Forever the G.O.A.T."
Biles responded back to the comment to show her appreciation and adoration for Berry. She added: "You're an amazing woman, your talent, perseverance and dedication are inconceivable!! You're an inspiration to all of us; especially all the gymnasts who will follow in your footsteps!!"
Biles credits therapy for mental health change
It's no secret the 27-year-old struggled with her mental health in Tokyo, but there was a noticeable change in the French capital this year.
"Putting in that therapy and that mental work meant everything to me and it was much needed," she told PEOPLE about the improvement.
"Even this morning at 7 a.m. I saw my therapist and there's a time change," Biles told reporters during a post-event press conference. "So she is so amazing for allowing me to do that these couple of days in Paris."
