- Miami Dolphins. Nick Saban puts an end to the debate surrounding Tua Tagovailoa: "I just want him safe and healthy"
- Miami Dolphins. Dolphins legend looks unrecognizable at Michigan sports Hall of Fame event
Tua Tagovailoa returned in style! The Miami Dolphins quarterback not only defied the odds by recovering from a concussion to play in Week 8 of the NFL, but he did so by borrowing one of Patrick Mahomes' signature moves.
The last few weeks have been filled with uncertainty for Dolphins fans. Many believed this could be the end of the road for the quarterback, who has already suffered three concussions in his career.
However, after being cleared by the NFL's concussion protocol and receiving medical clearance, the five-year veteran returned to the field to lead his team against the Arizona Cardinals at Hard Rock Stadium.
Although the game didn't go the way Tagovailoa would have liked, as they suffered a bitter 28-27 defeat, the quarterback shined during the game, even throwing a couple of fantasy es in true Mahomes style.
Tagovailoa shows off his skills
Much has been said about the Chiefs quarterback's ability to throw es that seem impossible, either due to the opponent's coverage or his poor posture when executing them. However, Mahomes is not the only one capable of completing a behind his back, as Tagovailoa just demonstrated.
When the game was at its peak, the Dolphins called a fake run. Showing cold-bloodedness, Tagovailoa threw a behind his back to Jaylen Wright, who ran against the flow of the play to gain some yards. Not bad for someone who just got out of the hospital.
Not content with that, the Miami signal-caller completed another fantasy later in the game when he found Julian Hill with a flip . However, this attempt ended in a fumble by Hill at the Arizona 1-yard line, taking the shine off Tagovailoa's style.
Not a first for Tagovailoa
This is not the first time the Dolphins star has shown off his field vision and ability to pull off impossible es. In his most recent game against the Denver Broncos, Tagovailoa threw a similar that he completed to De'Von Achane for a four-yard touchdown.
Despite the loss, Tagovailoa has many reasons to celebrate, the biggest of which is being able to continue playing the game he loves. And what better way to do it than with these flashes of skill that rival the best in the league.
