After 11 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, star defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence is heading to a new home. The four-time Pro Bowler recently signed with the Seattle Seahawks, and while he expressed gratitude for his time in Dallas, he made it clear that he's looking forward to the next chapter.

But it wasn't just his departure that made headlines-it was what he had to say about his former team. When asked about his time in Dallas and his move to Seattle, Lawrence didn't hesitate to take a subtle jab at his former team.

"Dallas is my home. I made my home there. My family lives there. But let's be honest- I know for sure I'm not winning a Super Bowl there," Lawrence said bluntly.

That remark struck a nerve, considering the Cowboys' 30-year Super Bowl drought. Since their last championship in 1995, Dallas has failed to reach even the NFC Championship Game. That leaves them with the longest active drought in the conference after the Washington Commanders' surprising playoff run last season.

Seahawks Secure a Proven Playmaker

For Seattle, landing Lawrence is a huge move. The 31-year-old rusher brings a wealth of experience and playmaking ability to a Seahawks defense that has been in need of a dominant force up front.

During his decade-plus tenure in Dallas, Lawrence recorded 58 sacks, 92 tackles for loss, and 18 forced fumbles. His best years came in 2017 and 2018, when he posted double-digit sacks in back-to-back seasons. Injuries have slowed him down in recent years, but the Seahawks believe he still has plenty left in the tank to make a significant impact.

The Cowboys, meanwhile, have now lost one of their most respected veterans as they continue their 30-year championship drought. While Dallas has consistently been a regular-season powerhouse under Jerry Jones, their inability to get past the NFC Championship Game since their last Super Bowl win in 1995 remains a sore spot for the franchise and its fans.

A Fresh Start for a Proven Star

For Lawrence, this move represents more than just a new team-it's a fresh opportunity to chase another Super Bowl ring. With Seattle revamping its defense, the former Cowboys standout could be a game-changer in a new system.

As Lawrence trades in the star for the Seahawks' colors, he's looking ahead, leaving the past in Dallas behind. The question now is: Can he help bring another championship to Seattle before his career is over?
