As you guys know by now, NFL legend and ESPN 'First Take' analyst Shannon Sharpe was recently caught on an Instagram live having intercourse with a woman. This is very similar to a slightly more graphic example of Brazilian-Mexican commentator and soccer legend Luis Roberto Alves 'Zague'. Only the one in Mexico was far more rated R than Shannon Sharpe. 'Zague' wasn't punished by his network in any way but the jokes still keep coming to this day. In Shannon Sharpe's case, this is the Disney-owned ESPN company. People were worried about Shannon Sharpe's future at the company for getting caught in such a scandalous moment online. Other analysts in the past have been dismissed for similar reasons.

But in Shannon Sharpe's defense, this slip-up was completely unintentional and he has already explained himself thoroughly on multiple platforms. During his talk with Chad Ocho Cinco, Sharpe explained perfectly what happened but he was still the subjects of many jokes and memes on the internet. Many of these trolls truly beleived that ESPN would be firing him ASAP. But we still hadn't had a response from the network until a few hours ago. People are dying to know what ESPN will do with Shannon Sharpe after this mistake that could cost him his job.

Is ESPN going to punish Shannon Sharpe?

The ones who did ask were several American outlets, they wanted to know if ESPN was going to do anything about this situation. According to TMZ Sports, the company decided to not punish Shannon Sharpe in any way because they understand that what happened was not intentional. Clearly it wasn't. However, Sharpe already knows the type fo jokes that are coming his way. He did risk the recent multi-million dollar contract he signed to become a full-time member of 'First Take'. He was lucky that the Mouse decided in his favor.
