Marvel changes the release dates of 'Avengers: Doomsday' and 'Avengers: Secret Wars'

The company modifies the plans again

Marvel changes the release dates of 'Avengers: Doomsday' and 'Avengers: Secret Wars'

Marvel wants to regain the throne it lost when 'Avengers: Endgame' was released. After those releases, theaters have never responded in the same way. This post-Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson era has not worked as it should and the new characters have not caught on with audiences like their predecessors.

Even so, Kevin Feige is hopeful that a turnaround is possible. The relevant changes have already been made, such as giving more leeway between two different releases or re-g Robert Downey Jr. in a leading role. Either way, he wants to continue to make some changes to improve the revenue harvested.

That's why the release date for 'Avengers: Doomsday' and 'Avengers: Secret Wars' has been changed without notice. The first of the films in which Marvel's superheroes will reunite was scheduled for May 1, 2026, but the new date will be December 18, 2026.

'Avengers: Secret Wars' has made the same decision. The second part of this film was going to hit theaters on May 7, 2027. The company has decided that its new date will be just one year after its predecessor, December 17, 2027. So it will be 365 days of waiting to put an end to this new stage of the MCU.
