Actor Jeremy Renner, best known for his role as Hawkeye in the 'Avengers' saga, has shared new details about the near-death experience he had after his serious snowplow accident in 2023
During an interview on the podcast Let's Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa, Renner revealed the profound sense of peace he experienced during that critical moment.
"I felt an immense relief, such a magical peace that I didn't want to go back," confessed the actor, who arrived at the hospital in a critical condition and had to undergo multiple surgeriesRenner described the experience as "an adrenaline rush accompanied by incredible serenity. You see nothing but what's in your mind. You are just your atoms, your DNA."

According to what he told actress and presenter Kelly Ripa, his spirit seemed to have left his body. "It was so intense that I didn't want to come back. I it clearly, and when I came back, I was very angry," he explained.
Renner also detailed the moment he returned to consciousness. "I don't know if it was five, two or ten minutes, but when I came back I saw my eyeball and thought, 'Shit! I'm back.' Then I saw my legs and knew the pain was coming. I just thought, 'Well, just keep breathing'."
In addition, Jeremy Renner spoke about how the accident transformed his outlook on life. "I'm going to live the life I want now, not for anyone else," he said determinedly.
This was his terrible accident with a snowplow
The accident occurred on January 1, 2023, in Nevada, when Renner attempted to prevent his snowplow from running over his nephew. In the attempt, he was dragged and trapped under the vehicle, suffering more than 30 fracturesJeremy Renner went to the hospital with 38 broken bones, collapsed lungs and liver punctures from one of his own broken ribs. The actor was hospitalized for two weeks and underwent numerous surgeries. He has since gone through a long and challenging recovery process.
