The price of salmon is something that continues to grow in recent times. It is one of the most consumed fish in Spain and, depending on the establishment and the cut, it can cost up to 27 euros per kilo, although it is more common to find pieces for around 10-12 euros.

"Anchovies and sardines have even higher amounts of Omega 3"

However, there are other not so popular fish that also have very similar characteristics to those of salmon, and at a much more affordable price. "Anchovies and sardines are fish that are called inshore fish, because they are caught near the coast, and not in the open sea, and at a nutritional level they are very similar to salmon, as they have even higher amounts of Omega 3," explains the technologist. These amounts are, in the case of salmon, close to 2.2 grams per 100.
