Kanye West and Bianca Censori once again found themselves at the centre of controversy at the 2025 Grammys, where Censori's revealing outfit and their red carpet antics caught widespread attention.
However, reports now suggest that the couple may not have been in agreement over the stunt, with actress Riley Mae Lewis claiming they appeared to argue moments before stepping in front of the cameras.
Signs of tension before their red carpet moment
Speaking to The Sun, Lewis, who was present at the event, described the tension between West and Censori just before their highly publicised appearance. "I thought they might've been arguing or something. She didn't look like she was fully onboard with the scandal he wanted to create on the carpet," Lewis explained.
She added that the mood between the couple felt uneasy. "The energy between the two seemed off, and a lot of people on the carpet thought the exact same thing. It makes me concerned for what their relationship is like behind the scenes."
Despite this, Lewis believed the moment was orchestrated. "From what I saw, the duo's red carpet stunt was definitely planned," she said.
A professional lip reader later claimed that West had encouraged Censori to go ahead with the stunt, allegedly telling her to "make a scene." A body language expert also noted that Censori's expressions and posture suggested discomfort, describing her actions as an "ultimate attention-seeking statement."
Controversy escalates with social media outburst
Following the Grammys, West further fueled controversy with a series of inflammatory posts on X (formerly Twitter). Over four days, he made racist, antisemitic, and misogynistic remarks, including openly praising Adolf Hitler and referring to himself as a Nazi.
His posts also included endorsements of Sean "Diddy" Combs and Chris Brown-both of whom have faced allegations of sexual abuse. West's comments became increasingly extreme, as he claimed "dominion" over his wife and posted explicit content on the platform, which allows nudity.
By Tuesday, West's X was no longer active, though it remains unclear whether he deactivated it himself or if platform owner Elon Musk intervened, though the latter is unlikely given his own recent apparent Nazi-salute.
West's Grammys stunt and subsequent online behaviour have once again raised questions about his motives and well-being, leaving many to wonder whether his actions are a deliberate attempt to maintain public attention or a sign of deeper issues.
