- Indiana Fever. Indiana Fever Coach Christie Sides Responds to Caitlin Clark's Olympic Snub, Faces Fan Criticism
- Indiana Fever. Christie Sides angers Skip Bayless and thousands of fans with her bizarre decision to 'hide' Caitlin Clark
Caitlin Clark's WNBA form is hot and cold at the moment and during the Indiana Fever's latest loss, it was on the cold side, partially thanks to a very strong defensive display from the Connecticut Sun's Alyssa Thomas.
The overall first pick of the 2024 draft only managed to shoot for 10 points in one her quietest games since becoming a professional basketballer as Thomas continued to hound her throughout the night.
One highlight was when both Clark and the 25-year-old both contested the basketball at the same time by grabbing it, only for the older woman to make a very clear example out of the Fever's guard by throwing her off the ball and down the court.
After she did so, she spun and got a shot off in the two-point zone whilst Clark could only stand and watch with a bit of egg on her face before the Fever went on to lose the game comfortably, falling to an 89-72 defeat.
Thomas is known to get physical with her rivals and seems keen to make a lasting impression on the 2024 class of rookies as she recently applied the same policy to the Chicago Sky's Angel Reese, who she choked slammed and left in tears.
Meanwhile, it's been a tough week for Clark as she continues to be criticised by haters and also received a major snub from Team USA for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, , despite shooting for 30 points or more twice in this season.
She also holds a series of records set by rookies such as the fastest to 200+ points and 50+ assists, but it was not enough to impress the head coach who selected a set of more experienced heads instead.
Who do the Fever play next?
