After he left the game visibly sore during Game 1 of the 88-99 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, Stephen Curry suffered a Grade 1 left hamstring strain and is expected to miss at least a week with the Golden State Warriors.

After the star point guard's absence, Minnesota went on to win the next two games, leaving the series 2-1 in their favor. Moreover, things for Golden State are not getting any better, as they no longer have the home-court advantage.

However, Steph is not giving up and is training to return to the courts as soon as possible. As confirmed by The Athletic, the "30", would have undergone a "pretty strenuous workout on the team's practice court, in the dungeons of the Chase Center," wrote Anthony Slater.

This was the first clear step in what is expected to be an early and accelerated return for Curry, though it was made known that he did not push himself to the max. Steph performed a medium-speed shooting routine and used the stationary bike.

Game Recap: Timberwolves 102, Warriors 97

This is the first time in Curry's career that he has suffered an injury of this caliber, so it permeates his recovery with doubt. However, this is remarkable progress in his race against the clock to return to the courts.

Warriors' next step

In the last game, Golden State looked like they would take a close win, but Timberwolves pulled off a big, much-needed comeback to take the win 97-102.

In the absence of Curry, Jimmy Butler stole all the looks with 33 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists.

Before having to step away from the courts, Curry was averaging 22.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists in this year's playoffs. Now, with Game 4 between the Warriors and Timberwolves on Monday, the Warriors are expected to fight for a much-needed victory. Will Curry make an appearance?
