The Social Security istration (SSA) has already set the payment schedule for June 2025. This includes beneficiaries of the Retirement, Disability and Survivors program, as well as those receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
The SSA payments are delivered monthly, although the dates vary depending on the type of benefit and when the beneficiary began receiving it. For example, people receiving SSI (a aimed at older adults or people with disabilities with limited income) receive their deposit on the first day of each month, unless it falls on a weekend or holiday. In that case, the payment is brought forward to the previous working day.
For those who began receiving Social Security benefits before May 1997, the payment is automatically issued at the beginning of each month. Those who ed the system on or after May 1, 1997, receive their payment based on their date of birth: the second, third or fourth Wednesday of the month.
These are the key payment dates in June:
- June 3: Beneficiaries who have been receiving benefits since before May 1997.
- June 11: People born between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- June 18: People born between the 11th and 20th of the month.
- June 25: People born between the 21st and 31st of the month.
With these dates, the SSA seeks to maintain order in the distribution of payments and ensure that each group receives its funds in a timely and trouble-free manner.
What to do if your SSA payment does not arrive on time?
Although the vast majority of Social Security payments are processed without a hitch, there can be exceptions. The SSA itself recommends waiting at least three business days after the scheduled date before reporting any delays.
Currently, more than 99% of deposits are made electronically, which greatly reduces the likelihood of delays or errors in delivery.
The Supplemental Security Income program, which benefits nearly 7.4 million people in the United States, including seniors, people with disabilities and children with limited financial resources, is an essential part of this safety net. Approximately half of SSI recipients also receive regular Social Security payments.
In addition, the SSI payment schedule for the remainder of 2025 is already set and these are the dates:
- May 30 (advance payment for June)
- July 1
- August 1
- August 29 (advance payment for September)
- October 1
- October 31 (advance payment for November)
- December 1
- December 31 (advance payment for January 2026)
Being aware of these dates allows beneficiaries to better organize their finances and act quickly in case any inconvenience arises with the deposits.
