- WWE. Jeff Hardy wants to fight CM Punk one more time and retire him from wrestling
- WWE. Hulk Hogan will return to WWE in the Saturday Night's Main Event; it is unknown what reaction he may get
Wrestling never ceases to amaze us in 2025, as WWE and TNA Wrestling today took a historic step in cross-company collaboration by announcing a multi-year partnership that promises to transform the professional wrestling industry.
This strategic agreement is designed to allow NXT and TNA stars to meet and share the stage on weekly shows, exclusive events and pay-per-views, creating unique talent development opportunities similar to what AEW has been doing with NJPW for the past several years.
While they have been working together, they have now made it official through a press release:
"WWE part of TKO Group Holdings and TNA Wrestling, one of the world's top wrestling brands and a subsidiary of Anthem Sports & Entertainment, today announced a multi-year partnership aimed at creating unprecedented crossover opportunities within WWE and TNA programming for NXT Superstars and TNA Wrestling Stars," they wrote in the press release.
Wrestling continues to grow by leaps and bounds with these crossovers
During 2024, former TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace was the first to open the forbidden door when she made an appearance at the 2024 Rumble Match.
Later in the year, she paid a visit to NXT along with Joe Hendry. There was an NXT Championship match between Joe Hendry and Ethan Page at No Mercy PLE and another great NXT Women's Championship match between Grace and Roxanne Perez at Battleground.
On the flip side, a number of NXT wrestlers visited TNA, including Wes Lee's reunion with The Rascalz, plus appearances by the likes of Charlie Dempsey, No Quarter Catch Crew, Riley Osbourne, Dante Chen, Gallus, Arianna Grace, Tatum Paxley, Izzi Dame, Wendy Choo and Brinley Reece, among others. The collaborations bring a fresh approach to both brands' programs.
The reactions were not long in coming
Triple H, WWE's Chief Content Officer did not hold back his excitement about this new alliance and left this post on his X : "Massive news for everyone. WWE and TNA, and, most importantly, fans around the world. This valuable partnership will help prepare both companies for the next generation of this industry," he commented.
Apparently, the fans have already started asking for their dream wrestling matches on social media:
"Chills when AJ Styles returns to TNA for a match next year".
"Jeff Hardy vs. CM Punk one last time."
Why couldn't they do it in 2009 when it mattered".
"Joe Hendry in the Rumble 2025 match!"
Some very excited fans of X commented.
The deal is initially between NXT and TNA, but the reality is that we shouldn't be surprised if this spreads to brands like RAW and Smackdown.
