Swimmer Katie Ledeckyhas become the most decorated female U.S. athlete in Olympic history after her 13th medal.
The U.S. swimmer won the silver medal in the 4x200-meter relay, breaking a tie with swimmers Natalie Coughlin, Jenny Thompson and Dara Torres.
Ledecky is not considering retirement and aspires to compete with Team USA at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Ledecky asked a delicate question
Leslie Jones recently chatted with Katie Ledecky on NBC Sports about the Paris 2024 Olympics and asked the legendary swimmer directly if she has ever peed in the pool.
Ledecky wanted to make it clear that she has never peed in the water when competing...even though she couldn't speak for her teammates and opponents.
"You know, I have to ask you this because I'm looking at this pool and I see how long the lanes are, how do you not pee in the pool?" asked Jones.
"Does nobody pee in the pool?" the comedian insisted after Ledecky denied it with a resounding "definitely not."
"I can't speak for other people," Ledecky said. "I definitely cannot speak for other people. I try not to think about this."
Jones' question came after the Wall Street Journal published an article titled 'The Dirty Secret of Olympic Swimming: Everyone Pees in the Pool'.
"Between intense hydration and tight swimsuits, athletes say that when nature calls, they often have no choice but to trust that the chlorine in the pool will do its job," Laine Higgins wrote.
