Amid the Summer Olympics coming our way in the month of August, there are many different modifications that coach Steve Kerr will need to do. There will be a star-studded roster with many giant egos that Kerr will need to manage. One of the most important names in there is LeBron James, who is going to play his very last Olympic Games as many of his USA teammates will do. Given his age, there are decisions Steve Kerr will need to make and potentially save LeBron James for some of the most important games. Training camp will start on Saturday and there has already been some indication that Kerr might use LeBron James off the bench. However, this has been confirmed to not be happening.

Would LeBron James accept coming off the bench?

According to a report from The Athletic, LeBron James is not likely to come off the bench during the Olympic Games official matches. Speaking to reporters this week, Kerr said the following about the potential lineup: "It's a great question, and my staff and I have talked about it quite a bit. It's a good problem to have, but I'm guessing that all 12 players on this roster will be in the Hall of Fame someday. So how do you pick five out of 12? The idea is you find combinations that click and, and you find two-way lineups that can be effective at both ends. So our big job in Las Vegas is to find five-man combinations that fit and to just ask all 12 guys to fully commit to the goal of winning a gold medal no matter what it looks like, no matter who's playing."

Although he will likely start many of the official games during the Olympics, LeBron James also needs to understand he is sharing the dressing room with other major super stars and future hall-of-famers. The list is pretty incredible once you take a closer look and James knows he will be one of the leaders. A list that includes Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Jrue Holiday, Anthony Davis, Anthony Edwards, Bam Adebayo, Tyrese Haliburton, and Kawhi Leonard. It's a stacked list of players tht Steve Kerr will have the privilege to coach starting next Saturday.
