Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Eli Ricks may have attended Monday's White House ceremony to celebrate his team's Super Bowl triumph, but his mind quickly drifted from official proceedings to a very different subject: Ivanka Trump.
Following the Eagles' visit to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, the 23-year-old took to social media to rave about the experience - not because of President Donald Trump's reception, but because of the presence of his daughter, Ivanka.
Dressed in a light blue suit for the occasion, Ivanka caught Ricks' attention, and he didn't hide it, reposting multiple photos of her during the event for all his followers to see.
Ricks can ire, but Ivanka's heart is already taken
Ivanka, who certainly looked elegant during the festivities, is of course very much spoken for. She has been married to Jared Kushner since 2009, and the pair share three children. Still, Ricks' iration was clear, and perhaps now he has a better idea of what qualities he's seeking in a future partner. And being a Super Bowl champion surely won't hurt his prospects when it comes to updating those dating profiles.
Meanwhile, President Trump kept the mood light during the event, taking the opportunity to deliver a few playful jabs.
He joked about Taylor Swift's rough Super Bowl night and took a shot at the New York Giants for letting Saquon Barkley, now one of Trump's favorite players, leave in free agency.
Not everyone on the Eagles roster was able to attend, however. Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts skipped the celebration, with the White House citing "scheduling conflicts" as the reason behind his absence.
Hurts might have missed the festivities, but for Eli Ricks, the highlight of the day had little to do with the ceremony itself.
After Monday, it's safe to say that his memories of the White House will be linked far more closely to Ivanka Trump than to politics or presidential handshakes.
