Philadelphia Eagles star A.J. Brown made good on a promise to 10-year-old Andre "Tre" Howard III, a devoted Eagles fan who was seriously injured while protecting his younger sister from a plane crash.

Just days after helping lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl LIX victory, Brown visited Tre in the hospital, bringing gifts, encouragement, and even a surprise call from fellow champion Saquon Barkley.

Tre's story captured national attention after he required emergency brain surgery when metal debris from a Jan. 31 air ambulance crash in Northeast Philadelphia struck him as he shielded his sister.

His first words upon waking from surgery? He wanted to know if he had saved his sister and if he had missed the Eagles' Super Bowl game.

Moved by Tre's bravery and dedication to the team, Brown took to X ahead of the championship, promising, "You are a Hero young man! I'm going to come see you when I get back. Hopefully with some hardware. Playing for you on Sunday my man."

On Wednesday, Feb. 12, Brown followed through on that promise, making an unannounced visit to Tre's hospital room.

The moment caught the family off guard.

"Brown kept his word," said Tre's father, Andre Howard.

"Just with my son walking, being able to have a conversation with A.J. Brown... These are iconic moments."

During the visit, Brown gifted Tre Eagles memorabilia and brought along the Vince Lombardi Trophy, fresh from the team's 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

The young Eagles fan, usually full of energy, was rendered speechless.

"By great surprise, on this day my son was beyond grateful to meet you,"Tre's mother, Lashawn "Lala" Hamiel, shared on Facebook.

"For someone who usually talks so much, you had him smiling from ear to ear and mute. I felt his heart pounding through his chest."

Brown spent time chatting with Tre about football and what it was like to win the Super Bowl.

When Tre asked about Saquon Barkley, Brown didn't hesitate-he called Barkley directly so Tre could speak to another Eagles star.

According to Howard, Brown's visit gave Tre an instant boost of motivation.

"You would have thought he was back to normal,"Howard said.

"They gave him an extra boost of energy... Wow, you're already going fast now, and we're pretty much jogging on the treill now?"

Despite still facing a long road to recovery, Tre's rapid improvement has been called a "miracle" by his father, who now views Brown as more than just an athlete.

"I don't look at him as just a professional football player,"Howard said.

"I look at him, he's a dad. He told me it hit home because he has a son. It hit home to see a child protecting his sister, and he just wanted to show some love to him. Brown is now a brother to me for life."
