We are almost at the finish line. A long and grueling NFL season will come down to one game to determine the best team in the league. No one can really complain about the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles being the two to battle it out, as they were easily two of the top teams throughout the whole season.
There isn't a clear-cut favorite between the two going into the Super Bowl. The Chiefs have experience and Patrick Mahomes on their side, although many feel that the Eagles simply have too much talent to not win it all. Given that the Eagles might have the roster and talent edge, the Chiefs will look for any type of advantage. And they may have gotten it by doing nothing.
Kellen Moore looks likely to be the next New Orleans Saints head coach
Reports surfaced on Tuesday and Wednesday that Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is likely to be hired by the New Orleans Saints as their next head coach. Fittingly, the Super Bowl will be played at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Moore had completed his interview with the Saints on Tuesday, so the franchise is moving quickly to get their guy.
While it's great news for Moore, many can't help but wonder if the whole situation could distract Moore for the Super Bowl. Fox Sports' Emmanuel Acho hearkens back to Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon going through a similar process two years ago. While he was getting ready to be the Arizona Cardinals head coach, he watched his defense get diced up by Mahomes and co.
The Eagles, of course, ended up losing that Super Bowl. NFL coaches are professional and will surely tell you that they are completely focused on the task at hand. After all, even both Chiefs coordinators took head coach interviews during the NFL Playoffs.

But Moore seems almost set in stone to leave, which could theoretically have his mind on other things on game day. Nick Sirianni and the Eagles will hope that's not the case.
