For the second straight day, a massive fight broke out at a preseason t practice between the New York Giants and the Detroit Lions. On this occasion, video of the brawl showed the exact moment things popped off, courtesy of a Giants rookie quickly making a name for himself.

Watch: Lions and Giants fight again at t practice

Giants' first-round NFL Draft pick Malik Nabers contested a touchdown catch with a Lions defensive back Terrion Arnold, which fell incomplete. On his way back up the field, Nabers took an uncalled for swipe at another DB, Kerby Joseph, who tracked him down and the intense conflict ensued.

Both teams clearly still felt the emotions from Monday, when a fight broke out involving huge number of players from both teams, all the way up to New York's franchise quarterback Daniel Jones. Wideouts were at the center of that fight as well, which was rumored to have started between Detroit's Amon-Ra St. Brown and a Giants player.

Nabers, the top target of fellow Top-10 draft pick Jayden Daniels at LSU, has impressed throughout the Giants' preseason. Clearly, he left a strong impression on some new enemies before his first NFL game as well.

Training camp fights across the NFL

Football is a violent sport. With its most competitive athletes battling for limited spots on every NFL roster, tensions often boil over at preseason training camp. Put two different teams on the same practice field, and the likelihood of a rumble only increases.

As Jones proved, even highly protected quarterbacks are no exception. In fact, Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes even got involved in a physical confrontation with a Kansas City Chiefs linebacker on Monday.

Other teams including the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers have also seen videos of fights leak out of their respective training camps.

More than anything, these preseason flash points suggest a feeling that is true of every NFL player, coach and fan by the time the calendar flips to August: they are just ready for the season to start. The Giants and Lions are not scheduled to face off in the regular season, but they will do battle in Week 1 of the preseason on August 8th.
