Vikings receiver Jordan Addison was reportedly arrested on Friday night near Los Angeles International Airport on suspicion of driving under the influence. Addison was reportedly found asleep behind the wheel and was arrested at approximately 23:36 following a DUI investigation.
He was released two hours later, though the results of the investigation remain undisclosed. ESPN reported that Addison's car was blocking a lane on I-105, according to the California Highway Patrol.
"We are aware of Jordan Addison's arrest this past Friday and are currently gathering more information regarding the incident," the Vikings said in a statement.
Previous legal issues
Addison, who started his college career at Pittsburgh before transferring to USC, had faced legal issues before.
Last offseason, he was cited for speeding and reckless driving in Saint Paul, Minn., clocked at 140 mph in a 55 mph zone on July 20, 2023. Addison claimed he was rushing due to a dog emergency at his home.
In his debut NFL season, Addison caught 70 es for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns, despite the Vikings' quarterback changes after Kirk Cousins' Achilles injury.
He delivered standout performances with multi-touchdown games against the 49ers on October 23 and the Bengals on December 16, complementing star receiver Justin Jefferson.
