Cooper Kupp is ready to make a statement with the Seattle Seahawks after the former triple crown champion signed a three-year deal with the NFC West team, which means that he's going to stay in the same conference he has played for eight seasons.

Kupp, an Eastern Washington Eagles standout - a team where he won the Walter Payton Award as a junior in college - is looking to impact his new team's chances to get to a Super Bowl, a place that's familiar to the wide receiver. Back in the 2021-2022 season, he won the NFL title with the Los Angeles Rams.

The Los Angeles Rams gathered for one last training session to send off Cooper Kupp to the Seattle Seahawks. The wide receiver and his former teammates were very emotional, specially Puka Nacua, a young offensive player that's already making a name for himsefl in the NFL.

Nacua, who produced an NFL-rookie record 1,486 receiving yards on 105 receptions, has called Kupp a mentor and a leader. The former BYU and Washington standout added that Cooper helped him improve his game and that it was a blessing to learn from who he considers is the best receiver in the league.

While Kupp described his departure from the Rams as "very difficult" and "very frustrating" when he spoke with Seattle reporters, he still expressed gratitude for his time in Los Angeles. "I'm thankful to be able to walk away from that organization and be able to look back on all those memories, all those experiences, all those things we were able to go through together and the relationships that we had with so many people there," Cooper said.

Kupp wants to give the Seahawks his best game

Cooper Kupp feels that his addition to the Seattle Seahawks is kind of like a homecoming, and he's ready to make a difference in a team that hasn't enjoyed much success in the playoffs, with it's last NFC Championship win back in 2015.

"The biggest thing is just the people that this organization has brought in," Kupp said about his arrival at Seattle. "All the players I talked to, just the culture of this organization, the winning culture of this organization, that's something I wanted to be a part of."

Cooper, who has faced the Seattle Seahawks many times throughout his career, understands that his new team has a culture of winning. "For a long time, the 12s have made this a renowned environment to play in. It's always something you prepared for when you came up here. It was my favorite thing walking out of the locker room and breathing the Northwest air.". said the Yakima, Washington native.
