It's tough to believe, but Patrick Mahomes is currently getting set for his ninth season in the NFL. Once a rising superstar who found tons of success at a young age, Mahomes has kept that success steady in a shocking way, but he's now truly a veteran. In 2025, he may have his most daunting task with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The franchise needs to rebound in a big way following Super Bowl LIX. Exposed by a stacked Philadelphia Eagles team, the Chiefs' front office made plenty of shrewd moves in the offseason to improve the team. But in the end, it all comes down to how Mahomes performs. The quarterback knows that, and he's been training hard during his off-time to get back to his very best. But did he train hard enough?
Is Patrick Mahomes' dad bod back for 2025?
Mahomes arrived for OTAs on Tuesday, sporting a serious look, a backpack and a bottle of water. He wore a cap to hide his hair, but a few fans couldn't help but notice his baggy clothes. The whole fit was oversized, and it has some wondering if he did it to hide his patented beer belly.
Mahomes' dad bod has been a contentious topic in the past. The QB likes to indulge when he's not in full football grind mode, and it leads to him looking slightly bloated in his midsection. It's just a theory from fans, though.
Trainer Bobby Stroupe has been working with Mahomes plenty this offseason. The Chiefs QB does look to be in good shape overall, so we won't know if he's rocking the dad bod coming off of the offseason or not until he shows it off.
