Skip Bayless' prediction of future Super Bowl winner leaves Patrick Mahomes speechless

The Philadelphia Eagles are soaring high after their 26-16 victory over the Washington Commanders, securing a full-game lead in the NFC East.

Their dominant performance has even led notorious Eagles critic and staunch Dallas Cowboys fan Skip Bayless to make an uncomfortable Super Bowl prediction, claiming that the Eagles might just take it all this season.

In a post on X, Bayless itted his disdain for the Eagles but acknowledged their impressive trajectory.

"I, quite obviously, am a Cowboys fan. Since I was 10 years old, I hated the Philadelphia Eagles. Still do. But after what I saw [general manager] Howie Roseman do in the offseason, I couldn't help myself. I picked the Philadelphia Eagles-the freaking Eagles-to win this year's Super Bowl. And I hate to it, I think I'm right," Bayless wrote.

Bayless praised the Eagles' balanced roster, crediting Roseman's offseason moves for strengthening both the offense and defense. He also noted that the team is likely to secure home-field advantage throughout the playoffs-a development he's less than thrilled about as a Cowboys er.

Eagles firing on all cylinders

The Eagles, now 8-2 on the season, are riding a six-game winning streak. During this stretch, they've consistently scored over 20 points per game while boasting one of the league's most efficient defenses.

Philly's defense has allowed more than 23 points only twice this season and has conceded 30 or more points just once. On the offensive side, while their ing game ranks average in yards and touchdowns, the team makes up for it with precision and efficiency.

Their dominance is a testament to Roseman's roster-building prowess, blending a strong defense with an effective, if not flashy, offense.

With a favorable schedule ahead, the Eagles are poised to maintain their momentum. Following a brief rest, they face the Los Angeles Rams on the road before remaining on the East Coast for the rest of the regular season.
