Travis Hunter is not only one of the most exciting rookies to watch for the 2025 NFL regular season, but he's also a great teammate that does not forget about his days of glory with the Colorado Buffaloes.

The Heisman Trophy winner gave some of his best performances on a football field alongside superstar quarterback Shedeur Sanders - now with the Cleveland Browns -, and under the leadership of Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders.

Hunter is now set to take the league by storm playing cornerback and wide receiver with the Jacksonville Jaguars, a team that ended with a 4-13 regular season record, second to last in the AFC South. The worst team in that conference? The Tennessee Titans, a team that drafted Cam Ward No. 1 overall with the hopes of taking the franchise to new heights.

Exploring Toughest Stretch of Detroit Lions 2025 NFL Season

The NFL Rookie Photoshoot went down a couple of days ago, with the newcomers gathering together for a first look at the jerseys they will wear during the regular season. Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders, Tennessee Titans QB Cam Ward, Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter, and New York Giants edge defender Abdul Carter were among the most sought after.

Cam Ward was assigned a locker next to Travis Hunter, and immediately the rivals went at it. As AFC South conference rivals, the rookies will face each other twice during the regular season. First, during Week 13 (November 30) at Jacksonville, and the second one during Week 18 at Tennessee.

Hunter didn't waste no time talking trash to Ward, and the No.1 pick in the draft didn't backed down from the Heisman Trophy winner. "They said they are trying to get rid of you already," Cam told Travis. Hunter replied by saying that the only reason Ward was picked by the Titans is "because they had to."I would hate to be a Jacksonville Jaguar," responded the quarterback. "We don't want you!" fired back the wide receiver.

Cam Ward is ready to lead the Titans

Cam Ward has put in the work during rookie minicamp to send a clear message: the Miami Hurricanes superstar embraced the challenge of taking a team that ended with a 3-14 record and make the franchise reach the playoffs, with the hope of getting to a Super Bowl in the following years.

"It felt good to throw the ball and get the timing down with the receivers. I still have a lot of stuff to get better on. I don't know the whole playbook yet, but I know the majority of it to go play a game. But I know I have a lot more work to do, and I am willing to do it," said the rookie quarterback.

The West Columbia, Texas native wants to make a good impression on and off the field, as a true leader for the team. "I (want people to know) I am all about business. I really want to be a pro. I want to be one of the great ones, and I want to be a good teammate at the end of the day. I want to win a lot of football games in my career, and I am excited to be around good vets like (Calvin) Ridley, good guys up front like Lloyd (Cushenberry) and JC (Latham) and those guys. I am excited, and ready to get to work."
