Dallas Cowboys star receiver CeeDee Lamb is back in action after a grueling five-month recovery from a shoulder injury that hampered him through much of the 2024 NFL season.
The Pro Bowler first sustained the injury to his right shoulder during a Week 9 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.
Despite the pain, Lamb continued to play, aggravating the injury again on Thanksgiving Day against the New York Giants and once more in Week 16 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers - an incident that ultimately ended his season.
In a recent interview, Lamb opened up about the toll the AC t injury took on him, both physically and mentally.
"The longest rehab, I want to say a good five months of real recovery and rehab," Lamb told Schuyler Dixon of the Associated Press.
"I don't know. I'm grateful to have two arms. I can tell you that."
Lamb back in training ahead of the 2025 season
Lamb is currently participating in the Cowboys' voluntary offseason program - his first involvement in such activities since 2023.
Last year, he skipped offseason workouts and training camp, eventually g a four-year, $136 million contract just 12 days before the season opener. Now, with his contract situation settled and his health steadily improving, Lamb is re-engaging with team activities.
"The last time I had OTAs and training camp was 2023," Lamb noted, underscoring how much he missed last year due to contract negotiations.
That 2023 season was a career-defining campaign for Lamb. He posted personal bests across the board, hauling in 135 receptions for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns.
His dominant performance earned him a spot on the First-Team All-Pro roster and solidified his reputation as one of the league's top wideouts.
As Lamb eases back into football shape this offseason, all eyes will be on how he rebounds from his injury. The Cowboys are counting on him to be a central figure in their offense once again, and Lamb is clearly motivated to return to peak form.
