CeeDee Lamb believes that he's one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, and he wants to make that clear during the season.
The Dallas Cowboys finished last season with a mediocre 7-10 record, good enough for third place on the NFC East, a conference that includes the Super Bowl champions Philadelphia Eagles, and the very impressive Washington Commanders. lead by quarterback sensation Jayden Daniels.
By the way, Dallas has the longest streak in the NFC without making it to the Conference Championship. We are talking about the most valuable sports team in the world, at over $10 billion. But what was once known as "America's Team" has not been able to deliver joy to its fans on a consistent basis.
Lamb tells Pickens who is going to be the number one option
The Pittsburgh Steelers traded George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys, as the Texas team needed a No. 2 target beside No. 1 option CeeDee Lamb, with the hope that quarterback Dak Prescott can have more weapons to work with and create an explosive offense that could take down defenses.
However, Lamb does not believe in No.1, 2 or 3 when it comes to options at wide receiver, as the former Oklahoma Sooners standout made it clear while participating in Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray's charity softball game over the weekend in Scottsdale, Arizona.
"We both ones," Lamb said as Pickens concurred, via DLLS Cowboys. "It ain't no A, B, none of that. It's one. You look over there, you see one. You look over here, you see another one. So do what you gotta do with that." CeeDee send a strong statement that he's ready to share the offense with Pickens.
Who can step up to make the Cowboys a contender in the NFC?
The Dallas Cowboys will need all of his players to step up if they want to make a playoff run next season, with the team desperately needing to move up from rotational players to serious contributors, especially because of multiple roster needs and salary cap relief.
One of them needs to be wide receiver Jonathan Mingo. Let's that, even though Jalen Tolbert took a much needed "next step up" last season, leading the team with seven touchdown receptions, Dallas' receiving corps could become a powerhouse if Mingo is added to the group in his third NFL season.
The Cowboys do have team sack leader Micah Parsons at one defensive end and signed veteran rusher Dante Fowler in free agency. Who else can step on defense? Marshawn Kneeland, last year's second-round draft choice? Donovan Ezeiruaku, this year's second-round draft choice? Payton Turner, the Cowboys' inexpensive stab at g the New Orleans Saints' former first-round draft choice they gave up on after four seasons?
