CeeDee Lamb and the Dallas Cowboys had a bad 2024 season, ending with a 7-10 record which was good enough for third place in the NFC East and no playoffs for America's team.
The former Oklahoma Sooners standout recorded 101 receptions for 1,1194 yards and six touchdowns, his lowest numbers since his sophomore season (2021).
However, Lamb made it clear that he wants to stay with Dallas as he signed a four years with max value of $136 million with a $38 million g bonus, and $100 million guaranteed on August 2024. The two-time All-Pro receiver got put in the same tax bracket as the best receivers in the entire NFL.
Ceedee Lamb's wild video gives Cowboys fans hope
CeeDee Lamb is getting busy during the offseason with the determination of having his best year during the 2025 season, with the hope of having a legitimate shot at Super Bowl LX, which will be played February the 8th, 2026 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Lamb posted stories on Instagram where he shows the intense workouts he's going trough to improve his speed, catching abilites and awareness inside the football field. Some fans loved the determination that CeeDee showed on the videos, as they can't wait for him to solidify his position as one of the best wide receivers on the NFL.
But some fans thought Lamb's stories were a suble shot at Kansas City Chiefs superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who recently posted his intense workout routine in the gym, sending a clear message that he's not holding back this offseason after losing Super Bowl LIX to the Philadelphia Eagles 40-22.
The Cowboys are counting on their No. 1 wide receiver
A former 17th-overall pick out of Oklahoma in 2020, CeeDee Lamb - the Louisiana native turned South Texas resident (in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina)- hit the ground running as a Cowboys' rookie and hasn't looked back since.
The 25-year-old has delivered 6,339 receiving yards and 38 touchdowns in his four-year career - while averaging a robust 12.8 yards per reception - adding two Pro Bowl honors to his resume in the process to go along with the aforementioned All-Pro nods.
The 2022 season was the first that demonstrated the ascension of Lamb to the role of WR1 in Dallas, in the post-Amari Cooper era, as he reeled in career highs in both receiving yards (1,359) and touchdowns (9) - Lamb being the most explosive offensive playmaker that season outside of running back Tony Pollard.
