Just hours after g his first NFL contract with the Cleveland Browns, Shedeur Sanders' celebratory moment took a hilarious turn.
The rookie quarterback, known for his charisma on and off the field, was soaking in his new surroundings and documenting the milestone, but the moment was quickly hijacked by a locker room mishap that left him temporarily disconnected from the world.
As Sanders stepped into the Browns' facility for the first time as a pro, he was accompanied by his trusted multimedia producer, Zach Miller.
Triumph turns to disaster
While filming what was supposed to be a triumphant locker room walk-through, Miller accidentally stumbled and fell-right into the hot tub. What turned this moment from funny to slightly concerning was that Miller was holding Shedeur's phone when he went under.
The celebration of a professional milestone took a strange detour when Sanders realized his only phone had gone for a swim.
"Forgot to mention. Zach Miller had my phone when he fell into the tub. So, I can't access any text to that number from now," Sanders wrote on his Instagram Stories later that day, turning the accident into yet another viral moment with his usual calm and humor.
It was an odd juxtaposition: one moment, Sanders was penning his name on an NFL contract; the next, he was telling friends and family he'd be off the grid.

This all unfolded on the same day he officially became a Cleveland Brown. The former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback-son of NFL Hall of Famer and Buffaloes head coach Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders-was a household name well before the draft.
But his drop to the fifth round came as a shock to many, especially given his hype as a projected top-two pick just a year prior.
That drop came with a hefty financial cost. Shedeur's deal is nearly $42 million less than what he might have earned as a top pick.
For comparison, his former Buffs teammate and close friend Travis Hunter, who was selected No. 2 overall, inked a deal worth $46.6 million. In contrast, Shedeur's rookie contract seems like a relative bargain for the Browns.
