The 2025 season will be a new opportunity for Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills to pursue the Super Bowl, something they've aimed for in many ways but have simply not had the chance to reach the NFL's big game, falling just short.
The Bills made Josh Allen the highest-paid quarterback in history in of guaranteed money and have also started reinforcing their team in free agency. The most important acquisition so far has been defensive end Joey Bosa, who signed a one-year contract with the team.
JOSH ALLEN'S BIG REQUEST TO JOEY BOSA
Josh Allen reached out to the former Los Angeles Chargers player to tell him that the goal is to win the first Super Bowl in the franchise's history.
"We have the chance to do something special. Josh wrote to me saying that if we accomplish what we set out to do, we can be immortalized in this city. That's what it's all about, winning a championship, and that's why I think people are here," said Bosa.
The defensive end also mentioned that playing for Allen in Buffalo and being coached by Head Coach Sean McDermott, along with the impressive team fans, were important factors in choosing to play for the Bills.
"Playing with a quarterback like Josh, playing for a coach like Coach McDermott, is the ideal situation for me, the ideal culture, it feels good, even the people in Buffalo are focused on one goal: winning. It's been very close, and I think it's time to overcome that obstacle," Bosa said.
JOEY BOSA'S STATS
Bosa s a defense that, last year, only recorded 19 sacks, ranking 19th in the NFL, so the Bills are hoping the defensive end's impact will be immediate.
Injuries in the last two seasons have severely affected Joey Bosa, but in Buffalo, there is confidence he can have a season like the one in 2017 when he recorded 12.5 sacks.
In his nine-year career, Joey has accumulated 343 tackles and 72 sacks, along with five Pro Bowl selections and, most notably, the Defensive Rookie of the Year award in 2016.
