Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith screamed in the face of his New Orleans Saints counterpart Dennis Allen after losing the regular season finale and once again missing the playoffs during a three-year stint that will likely come to an end on Monday.
Smith, 41, met Allen, 51, in the middle of the field after the Saints blew out the Falcons 48-17 on Sunday at Caesars Superdome and refused to shake his hand. He was seen yelling "that's bulls--t" multiple times.
The Falcons coach was evidently angry at Allen because the Saints scored another touchdown with just seconds left to play in the game and nothing else left on the line.
Allen apologized to Smith and the Falcons during his postgame press conference, but some Saints fans were upset that he seemingly threw the players under ths bus.
Dennis Allen blames Saints players
The Saints coach explained to the media that quarterback Jameis Winston had asked him if they could give running back Jamaal Williams a touchdown.
Allen claims he said "no" to the request, but the players did it anyway. While that may be true, it's not a good look for the Saints coach.
As for Smith, he is just taking out his frustration of another losing season out on Allen, who actually gets along well with the Falcons' soon-to-be ex-coach.
