Desmond Watson at 464 pounds could make history in the 2025 NFL Draft: Who are the heaviest players in the NFL?

Desmond Watson could smash an American Football record before he even steps onto the field as the Florida Gators' defensive end is poised to become the heaviest player to ever play in the NFL.

The 6ft 6in footballer weighed in at an astonishing 464lbs on his NFL Pro Day, which would absolutely smash the current record set by the Chicago Bears' Aaron Gibson and only reached 410lbs on the scales.

And for fans wondering if he's too big to carry that weight? His performance in Gainesville suggests he knows how to move too as he clocked a 5.93 on the 40-yard dash with a 25-inch vertical leap.

He's full of power too. The athlete produced a mind-boggling 36 reps on the 225lb bench press, which would've been a record at the NFL Combine. Quick, heavy and strong, he will be a problem for other teams throughout the sport.

"That number's always going to be pretty big," Bill Napier, his Gators head coach, said. "He's a unicorn.

"You'll go the rest of your career and you'll never be around a guy that's that stature."

Who are the Top 10 heaviest NFL players ever?

But how does Watson stack up against the upper end of the weight spectrum? Just how much heavier than the rest of the names in the NFL record books?

It turns out, once again, he blows opponents out of the water. Think of Jordan Mailata, the Philadelphia Eagles' 6ft 8in offensive tackle. Mailata is 99lbs lighter than what Watson's carrying.
