As the Colorado Buffaloes prepare for a defining 2025 season, head coach Deion Sanders ontinues to instill his trademark motivation into his team. Entering his third year at the helm, Sanders faces a major challenge this season, leading a new-look roster without the presence of his sons, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders, both of whom played integral roles in previous campaigns.
With spring training camp in full swing, Coach Prime is ensuring that his players adopt a relentless mindset ahead of the Big 12 season.
On Saturday, Well Off Media shared an exclusive behind-the-scenes video capturing Sanders delivering an imioned speech to his squad, emphasizing the importance of hard work and ability.
Coach Prime challenges his team to give back through effort
During the team's latest practice session, which was held indoors due to inclement weather, Sanders made it clear that he expected maximum effort from his players in return for the accommodations.
"In life, you're going to understand, when somebody do something for you, they going to want something back," Sanders told his team. "I want something back. All I ask for is work. The work that you put in is going to help you elevate to the next level. We good?"
His words were met with positive energy from the team, and the footage showcased the players responding with intensity on the practice field. Sanders later praised the squad for finishing strong and encouraged those who struggled to focus on improvement.
"We gonna get it on next week," he said, previewing a new drill that would involve players selecting teammates for one-on-one matchups. "Everybody have a great weekend. I'm proud of you. You ended up on a great note. I'm really darn proud of you. Those who didn't have a great practice, let's look at the films and try to fix it because you're capable. You're definitely capable."
As Coach Prime works to shape his new roster, the team is adjusting to life without Shedeur Sanders, who is entering the 2025 NFL draft after being a cornerstone of Colorado's offense.
