NFL executives and talent evaluators have their hands full with Shedeur Sanders. The loquacious former Colorado quarterback and son of Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Deion Sanders is a top-rated quarterback prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft, which takes place next month...but Shedeur is facing a draft night slide as teams remain wary of his "antics".

Shedeur Sanders drew negative responses when he announced he would not take part in throwing drills at the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis last week. It has led to Miami signal-caller Cam Ward inching closer to the top overall pick, while Shedeur's range -- which could see him fall out of the top five -- continues to grow. But if anything, that might be fuel for the Buffs star's fire.

Greatness goes wherever Shedeur goes

In a YouTube video posted to his official channel, Sanders has made it clear that he is willing to play into the prevailing narrative around him as a "brash" and "arrogant" prospect. After finishing a workout, Sanders claimed that greatness follows him everywhere -- from Jackson State, to Colorado, and -- perhaps -- to the NFL.

"Done for the day. It's legendary. What'd you expect? Greatness go wherever we go. You know what I mean? We don't ever get sore, we got too many lights on," Sanders said.

Former NFL cornerback Richard Sherman is among those defending Shedeur through the onslaught of speculation and the handwringing over his attitude -- which ittedly is not what many fans expect from aspiring NFL stars. Sanders' wealth as a 23-year-old in the NIL (name, image, likeness) rights era serves as a bellwether for the generation to come; they are loud, they are here, and it is up to the viewing public whether they want to get on board.
