Pennsylvania, with 19 electoral votes, is a crucial battleground, and its slower counting process could hold up results across the nation. Historically, mail-in ballots tend to favor Democrats, meaning the Democratic candidate may initially take an early lead.

In Maryland, results will start coming in after 8 p.m., with about 70% of votes expected by noon the following day. Virginia's results will begin after 7 p.m., with most votes usually reported by noon on Wednesday. In D.C., results will start coming in after 8 p.m., but mailed ballots can take up to ten days to be counted.
