- UK News. Prince Harry's latest loss close to his heart has him in an unprecedented mental state
Despite over five years having ed since the shocking decision by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to step down from royal duties, new information continues to trickle in seemingly every other day. The two would likely love to turn the page forever, but that's simply not possible given the magnitude of their decision.
They especially would love to retreat into the shadows at the moment, as their public images are not ideal. Markle continues to be painted as a diva by former coworkers, while Harry recently had to resign from the board of one of his charities due to concerning allegations. Now, old wounds have resurfaced, and they have to do with Queen Elizabeth II.
The story of Meghan Markle's no-good wedding tiara
Several reports and excerpts from books have come out recently, shedding more light on the fallout between Markle and the Queen. As unbelievable as it may seem, Markle's wedding tiara was the culprit for triggering the downfall of Meghan and Harry's relationship with the Queen.
Markle had a run-in with the Queen's hairdresser, Angela Kelly. Harry felt she was being "obstructive". Many authors, including Harry himself, have detailed the incident, which was essentially the starting point of their rift with the Queen.
- Valentine Low: "Whether Harry swore at his grandmother's aide, or about her, is not clear. But she wasn't impressed. She reported all this to the Queen, who summoned Harry to a private meeting. He was firmly put in his place. He had been downright rude."
- Prince Harry: "It was obvious they were putting up obstacles, but why? It didn't occur to us what motives they might have."
- Robert Lacey: "[The green tiara] was one of those that had found its way into Windsor hands through 'undefined' not to say dodgy channels -- and for an undisclosed price... [and it led to Prince Harry flying into a fit of rage when she could not borrow it]."
Who knew a tiara could be the cause of something so much bigger?
