Don't expect to see Prince Harry and Meghan Markle leave the USA anytime soon.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex relocated to Montecito, California back in 2020. The move came just months after the couple ended their time as working royals.

The two share kids Prince Archie, five, and three-year-old Lilibet, and although Harry has made several solo trips back to the UK this year alone, he says there are no plans to permanently leave the USA at this time.

"I very much enjoy living here and bringing up my kids here," Harry said during The New York Times' DealBook Summit.

He added that there are things he can do with his children in the USA that he "undoubtedly wouldn't be able to do in the UK" due to security concerns, and that is focus is on "being the best husband and the best dad that I can be."

Harry and Meghan buy property in Portugal

Although Harry and Meghan aren't planning on returning to the UK anytime soon, that hasn't stopped the couple from reportedly buying property in Portugal.

They were seen in the area last September, and their new property is reportedly close to Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank.

"Buying in Portugal is a shrewd move for Meghan," a source told Closer.

"She's deeply concerned that the Royal Family might manipulate Harry into reintegrating without her, so she needs to be proactive to make sure she's not isolated or pushed to the sidelines.

"Now, if it is deemed safe from a security standpoint, it's likely she'll give her blessing for Harry to take Archie and Lilibet to see their grandpa, King Charles, at some point.

"And in of logistics, having a place in Portugal will make that easier, because Meghan can fly over with the kids without feeling trapped."
