In the world of British music, Jax Jones is no stranger to high-profile collaborations, having worked with a lineup of iconic artists including Jess Glynne, Mabel, and Calum Scott. Now, he's gearing up for a remarkable partnership that could easily be the highlight of his career - a collaboration with none other than Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge herself.
Jax shared with the people from The Sun from backstage in Ibiza his excitement about the unexpected project. It turns out that this "down-to-earth" member of the royal family is ready to make a cameo appearance in one of Jax's music videos, adding a touch of royal elegance to his performances.
The Royalty Club could take the British techno scene by storm
The connection between Jax Jones and Kate Middleton first sparked during the late Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebration in 2022, when Jax performed outside Buckingham Palace. Their friendship grew as they explored shared interests, ultimately leading to Jax's appointment as an ambassador for Kate's Shaping Us campaign.
Here's what Jax Jones said: "I am talking to Kate's team about doing a special visual for my shows of her dancing. That would be sick, right? I wanted to do it for the Summertime ball but it's still in progress. You know you've got to use those connections. I am seeing them again in December. We are shooting a bunch of content - they haven't shot it down as an idea. They said they are up for it but they have the official channels. You can't just bring out your camera phone and shoot Kate. She has a big team, so you have to do it properly."
While Jax Jones is making waves with this unprecedented collaboration, he's also focused on his music career. His latest single, "Need You Now," featuring D.O.D, dropped recently, showcasing his versatility as a producer. While he's no stranger to big names in the industry, Jax emphasized that his collaborations are about the quality of the song rather than the fame of the artist, he does however get a little starstruck about the Duchess, but who wouldn't right?.
