14-minute video leaks showing Diddy Combs brutally beating Cassie Ventura

Federal authorities presented a shocking and dramatically explicit video in New York on Thursday showing rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs brutally assaulting his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. The images were captured by security cameras at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, in March 2016 and are more than 14 minutes long

The recording was presented by the prosecutor as evidence in the federal trial facing Combs, who is charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and other crimes.

In the images, the rapper is seen chasing his partner down one of the hotel corridors while violently beating her: he kicks her, drags her by the hood of her jacket, throws several objects at her, including a vase, and appears visibly upset, while Cassie simply tries to protect herself in an elevator, without success

In November 2023, Cassie filed a civil lawsuit in which she claimed she suffered physical, sexual and psychological abuse by the artist over several years. In her complaint, she revealed that she had an on-again, off-again relationship with the rapper for more than a decade, beginning in 2007

However, the lawsuit was withdrawn a day later after the couple reached a confidential settlement. However, this accusation was the beginning of a broader investigation by federal prosecutors against Combs.

According to the documentation filed in the Southern District of New York court, Ventura claimed that Combs subjected her to coercion, isolation and violence to subdue her. She later confirmed that the 2016 incident in Los Angeles was one of the most violent episodes she experienced, and accused the hotel of attempting to cover up the assault. In fact, the then head of security at the site, Israel Florez, was allegedly bribed by Combs not to notify police of the events

A video that generated widespread condemnation

Since its publication, the video has circulated widely on social networks and in the media, generating a wave of comments of indignation among celebrities and followers of both singers, who expressed their solidarity with Cassie Ventura.

While Combs' legal team issued a brief statement saying they will give context to what the recording shows and said their client "will fully cooperate with the authorities". However, the prosecutor's office warned that this is just one of the multiple pieces of evidence ing the accusation against the rapper and that the case is "much broader and darker".

In the trial against Combs in New York, the rapper refused to accept his guilt and the hearings continue to develop, despite the fact that the charges he faces could mean a life sentence, due to the number of charges and victims who accuse him of establishing an alleged network of exploitation and violence.

The testimony of Casandra Ventura

Cassie herself testified against her ex-boyfriend on Wednesday, stating that Combs had videos of her participating in his orgies, known as 'Freak Offs' and that he would threaten to release them when he felt jealous or upset with her.

Ventura is the main witness in the sexual trafficking case against Combs: "He told me he would ruin everything I had worked for, that he would make me look like a whore. That he would embarrass me," she said, calling the threats "horrible and disgusting. No one should do that to anyone."

She also showed a 2013 text in which Combs told Ventura that he had deleted the videos, but Ventura said she still saw them on several occasions on his devices. She finally indicated Tuesday that she participated for a decade in Combs' parties, fearful that the musician might turn violent if she did not participate and that on several occasions he left her bruises on her eyes and other parts of her body.
