Steven Wilson, an assistant referee who was promoted to the Premier League in 2005 under the name Stephen Dorr, has been sentenced to nine years in prison after being found guilty of raping a man in 2009 in Worcester, England.
The 55-year-old former referee tricked a stranger at a taxi rank by promising him a party with "lots of girls" at his apartment.

Wilson locked the man up for three or four hours and forced him to have sex.

Steven Wilson managed to evade justice until 2021 when the victim recognised him from an article about his other sexual offences and reported him to the police.
The former Premier League referee was found guilty of rape and sexual assault at Worcester Crown Court and the judge referred to him as "cunning and manipulative".
