'Iron Mike' doesn't need to put himself at risk anymore and fans are urging him to enjoy his old age

Mike Tyson's son reacts to fans' concerns about possible fight between his father and Fedor Emelianenko

For some, the ill-fated fight that Mike Tyson staged alongside Jake Paul last November was not enough, and those who enjoyed seeing him in such a spectacle are the ones who want to see him again getting into a ring to be humiliated again, just for money. The pertinent question here is: Does Mike need it after what he pocketed in Arlington?

Speculation and bad faith

The old glories of Mike Tyson succumbed to the trend set by a YouTuber who wants to be a boxer and knows how to do business with his image and that of the unsuspecting who fall into his clutches, as Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. recently did, but one thing is the millions that can be guaranteed by the former Disney actor, and quite another is the speculation and bad faith of others who want to perpetuate the practice of taking advantage of the fame or name of people like Tyson as he continues to age.

And it may have been a fake news story, but what a stir it caused when a story indicated that 'Iron Mike' could get back in the ring to face former Russian martial artist Fedor Emelianenko, who is considered one of the best in history.

The 'hook' of a possible new fight

It was a 'news' released by the 'X' profile @menacemma that shared a statement from the president of the Kazakhstan-based combat sports promoter Alash Pride League (APL) Alimzhan Bektaev, who claimed "We want to organize a fight between Mike Tyson and Fedor Emelianenko. It is a project in development. The tournament where we would like to see this fight will be held in December".

Comments were quick to pour in, and fortunately they all point to Tyson needing to start enjoying the calm of old age, especially with the millions he earned after the circus with Jake Paul, but one of them came to settle the matter once and for all, that of the legend's son, Amir Tyson.

Amir bluntly downplayed the issue, for the sake of his father and the narrative that seeks to put him at risk again: "You guys will believe anything, dude, hahaha," he said in the comments of the post, which surely did not 'hook' anyone, not even Iron Mike himself.
