Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey limped off the court after taking a hard fall in the second quarter of the team's home win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night at Paycom Center.
Giddey, 21, did not return to the game due to a sprained left ankle. He finished the contest with 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting, including 3-of-3 from deep, plus three rebounds and four assists.
Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led all scorers with 31 points to lead OKC (19-8) past the Clippers (17-12) and to a ninth consecutive victory.
Josh Giddey's season has been tough
Giddey has been a key part of the Thunder's success, averaging 11.8 points, 6.2 boards and 4.4 dimes per game.
His season has been overshadowed by an ongoing off-the-court investigation regarding an alleged improper relationship between Giddey and a minor.
