Even off the court, NBA stars find ways to compete. This time, it wasn't about jump shots or highlight-reel dunks-it was about popcorn.

During a media session, Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo took a bite of a bag of popcorn featuring Steph Curry's face on the packaging. His review? Less than glowing. "I've had better," he said, throwing a playful jab at the Warriors' superstar.

He had better! Giannis Antetokounmpo not impressed with Steph Curry popcorn at NBA All-Star Game

If you know anything about Curry, you know this wasn't just any popcorn. The four-time NBA champion is a self-proclaimed "popcorn addict" and even ranked every NBA arena's popcorn back in 2019. He scored each batch on freshness, crunch, butter level, saltiness, and overall presentation. The Dallas Mavericks' arena took the top spot, while the former Staples Center (now Crypto.com Arena) landed at the very bottom.

More recently, Curry took his popcorn ion to the next level, helping the Los Angeles Clippers handpick the snack that would be served at their new Intuit Dome. He tested multiple options, explaining in detail what makes the perfect popcorn: a satisfying crunch, a butterfly shape, and a melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Giannis, however, didn't seem convinced. While Curry was carefully curating popcorn for an NBA venue, Antetokounmpo was keeping things simple-he just wanted a good snack. His playful critique adds a new twist to an already entertaining storyline.

Of course, Giannis has bigger concerns than popcorn right now. Despite earning over 3.4 million fan votes for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game, he did not play due to a left calf injury. Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young was named as his replacement.

In the grand scheme of NBA rivalries, this one is pretty harmless. But let's be honest-if Curry and Antetokounmpo ever go head-to-head in an official popcorn taste test, we'd all be watching.
