For the Golden State Warriors, replacing Klay Thompson won't be easy if you are trying to replace the same player who dominated the league before he tore his Achilles. That is the one everybody was afraid of and the one that made it possible for the Warriors to get those three out of five rings at the NBA Finals. In the end, the post-injury Klay wasn't able to withstand all the pressure and criticism from the fans who sorely missed the old Thompson. Now that he's gone, the Golden State Warriors need to see which of the many options available will be th best man to replace the void that Klay left behind. And there are three stars who have real options to replace him. Let's go through the three names that are a potential Klay Thompson replacement at the Golden State Warriors.

Three players who could replace Klay Thompson at the Warriors

Perhaps the most coveted player of the list is Chicago Bulls star, Zach LaVine. According to NBC Sports Chicago, LaVine is one of three teams that will attempt to trade for Zach but that transaction won't be easy. Currently, all three teams are in talks with the Bulls to see what the best option might be for LaVine. Elsewhere, the second option is New Orleans Pelicans' Brandon Ingram, who is considered a major swing for the Warriors because they would have to send out several draft picks to get him. Currently, Ingram is going into his final season of a five-year contract that was worth $158.2 million and he is set to have a $36 million cap hit next season.

Buddy Hield enters the chat

The last but more likely option was just revealed by Jake Fischer, who confirmed that the Warriors and the Philadelphia 76ers are in the final stages of an agreement for the trade of Buddy Hield. It would be a sign-and-trade that is currently undergoing the final details. The Golden State Warriors would deliver the rest of his trade value and either one or two second round picks. The Athletic's Shams Charania also confirmed this is exactly what's taking place at the moment. Hield is considered one of the best three-point shooters in the league, which would be a direct Klay Thompson replacement. If any of these three options is 100% confirmed, we will let you know.
