WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan is stepping into the business ring once again, this time aiming to revitalize the iconic Hooters brand. Through his company, Real American Brands, Hogan has announced plans to acquire the intellectual property of Hooters, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March 2025.

Rather than operating the restaurant chain, Hogan's vision focuses on leveraging the Hooters name for merchandise, food, and beverage products. Real American Brands intends to license the Hooters name back to existing restaurant operators and distribute branded products through various channels, including retailers and entertainment venues.

"Hooters is more than just wings and nostalgia - it's part of the American story," said Terri Francis, CEO of Real American Brands. "We see enormous potential to modernize the brand without losing its bold identity."

Hogan's connection to Hooters dates back decades, with the first Hooters opening in Clearwater, Florida - his hometown. The wrestling icon has previously promoted events at Hooters venues and launched his beer brand, Real American Beer, in partnership with Hooters locations.

Real American Beer, founded in 2024, has already established a presence in Walmart stores across 28 states and various supermarkets. The acquisition of Hooters' branding would allow Hogan to expand his business ventures further, integrating Hooters-branded products into his existing distribution network.

While the bid's financial details remain undisclosed, it's reported to be an all-cash offer. The deal is subject to approval by parties overseeing Hooters' bankruptcy proceedings. If successful, Hogan's involvement could breathe new life into the Hooters brand, blending nostalgia with a modern twist to appeal to a broader audience.

As Hogan himself might say, this move is about bringing back "freedom, grit, and good times" - a mission to restore Hooters as a symbol of unfiltered Americana.
