We witnessed history at the end of Night 2 of Wrestlemania 41 as John Cena won the undisputed WWE Championship after defeating Cody Rhodes in the main event.

In an emotional match, Cena, in his new role as a heel, finally won his 17th World Championship, suring Ric Flair to become the wrestler with the most World Championships in WWE history.

Travis Scott made an appearance in the final moments and was instrumental in helping Cena win the title. The referee was knocked out when he tried to hit Cody and was hit with a huge Cross Rhodes that left him collapsed on the floor.

But the distraction was key. With the championship in his hands, Cody tried to hit John with the title as Cena begged for mercy. Rhodes started to hesitate, but the "Man You Can't See" hit him with a low blow and hit him in the face with the championship without the referee seeing it.

John Cena won the match by cheating, in true wrestling villain style. An idol worshipped by generations of children, once a symbol of heroism, has become embroiled in controversy, resorting to dark tricks and blatantly questionable methods to win his 17th championship amid cheers and boos, leaving the world speechless and divided.

John Cena avoids answering questions at the post-victory press conference

At the WWE press conference following a PLE, Cena entered the room looking unfriendly, threw down Cody Rhodes' championship plates and sat down to answer questions.

"That's a clickbait question, next," the actor replied to the four questions he was asked.

"I'm going to ruin wrestling"

The undisputed WWE Champion decided not to answer any of the questions as he did not want them to latch onto his historic victory to generate headlines in the media.

John Cena slipped into his villainous role in a very believable way, but he did leave a message before saying goodbye.

"You're just looking for headlines, so I'll give you one. Watch Monday Night RAW on Netflix tomorrow to see me ruin wrestling,"Cena said.
