GTA 6: Rockstar involved in banning X that leaked trailer?

Rockstar Games released the official trailer of Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA VI) on Monday shortly after a newly-created X , which was soon banned, leaked the video. The game is set to release sometime in 2025.

GTA VI planned its trailer release for Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. ET, but the mysterious X somehow managed to leak a low-quality video. The gaming company eventually released it ahead of time since it was already online.

"Our trailer has leaked so please watch the real thing on YouTube," Rockstar tweeted along with a link to the video.

Fans are convinced that Rockstar was involved in X owner Elon Musk's decision to ban the social media which leaked the trailer.

GTA VI trailer leak bad for gaming industry

The GTA VI trailer leak is a disservice to the gaming industry because it shattered the hopes, hype and illusions of thousands of gamers.

A few days ago, the son of one of the creative directors of Grand Theft Auto 6 also released some real images of the game through his TikTok .

Rockstar evidently taking matters into their hands by blocking the X that leaked the trailer is proof of the harm they do to the gaming community. This is not the first leak for the game.
