Adam "Pacman" Jones isn't just out of trouble when he's already in another. The former Cincinnati Bengals star faces a new slate of criminal charges after being arrested in Northern Kentucky, adding another page to the former cornerback's lengthy legal record.

It's not uncommon to see Jones in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Just last November, Pacman made headlines after being arrested in Arlington, Texas, for an incident at a hotel after attending the Mike Tyson-Jake Paul boxing match.

In 2023, Jones was involved in another incident when police arrested him for an altercation on an airplane at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Each time, the former player has fought with officers and resisted arrest, worsening his legal situation. Reports indicate that this also happened this time.

Why was Pacman Jones arrested?

Although the details of this new incident are unknown, press reports explain that Jones faces at least three charges: public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and assault on a police officer.

Kenton County Jail records confirm that Jones was booked into jail at 1:51 a.m. local time but do not specify the name of the player's attorney. A police spokesperson confirmed to The Cincinnati Enquirer that Pacman assaulted a Covington police officer.

Jones' legal troubles

The Pro Bowler's career is marred by a long list of arrests and run-ins with the law. Jones attended the 2005 NFL Draft on probation for a fight in West Virginia and, in July of that year, was arrested on charges of assault and felony vandalism before even participating in a play with the Tennessee Titans. The team selected him as No. 5 overall.

Perhaps Pacman's most notorious arrest was for a shooting following an altercation at a Las Vegas strip club, which earned him a suspension for the entire 2007 NFL season. The aftermath of the incident included a $12.3 million settlement to two of the shooting victims.

Although he never officially retired, Jones last played in the 2018 season with the Denver Broncos.
