2025 has been a rollercoaster year for Shilo Sanders. From leading Colorado to the Alamo Bowl, to the disappointment of going unselected in the NFL Draft, to g as an undrafted free agent with Tampa Bay, and even facing a tough legal setback-it's no surprise the young cornerback hasn't had time to celebrate his latest academic achievement.

As the tumultuous first few months of the year settle, Shilo is beginning to find his footing with his new team. The son of legendary Deion Sanders made a strong impression on Tampa Bay's coaching staff during rookie minicamp and looks ready to compete for a spot on the final roster.

But his journey hasn't been without challenges. Over the weekend, a judge ruled against him in a long-running assault lawsuit, putting his financial future in jeopardy. Amid the highs and lows, however, Sanders found a new reason to celebrate.

Shilo earns his Master's Degree from Colorado

According to USA Today writer Brent Schrotenboer, Shilo has earned his Master's Degree from the University of Colorado, where he spent his final two years of college eligibility. Citing sources at the university, Schrotenboer reported that Sanders was one of 67 graduates in the Organizational Leadership program.

This marks Sanders' second major academic achievement. In May 2023, before transferring to Colorado, he earned his undergraduate degree-also in Organizational Leadership-from Jackson State University.

Sanders crossed the academic finish line ahead of his brother Shedeur and former Buffs teammate Travis Hunter, both of whom are expected to graduate later this year, though their chosen majors remain undisclosed.

What's next for Shilo?

After making a strong impression at rookie minicamp, Shilo is set to participate in organized team activities (OTAs) from May 27-30 and June 2-5. The Buccaneers' mandatory minicamp for the full team is scheduled for June 10-12.

Training camp dates have yet to be confirmed, but plans include a t practice with the Baltimore Ravens. While Sanders has yet to secure a spot on the final roster, if he continues to showcase the maturity and skill he displayed during rookie camp, he's likely to remain in head coach Todd Bowles' plans.
