When Kendrick Lamar was announced as the Super Bowl LIX halftime show performer, everyone's minds began racing about what songs he would choose to sing. But more than anything, fans just wanted to know if he would perform "Not Like Us", his legendary diss track aimed at Drake.
Given the track's legal history and pending lawsuit, it would have been risky for Lamar to do it in front of such a large national audience. But Kendrick does whatever he wants, and he made everyone's night by playing it at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
Serena Williams shows up at Super Bowl LIX halftime show on field
What caught peoples' attention more than the jaw-dropping show itself, was tennis superstar Serena Williams dancing in the middle of the field while the song blared over the speakers.
Fans were loving Williams' dancing, and she made sure to share her thoughts on Lamar's performance and her role right after she got back to the locker room.
Serena Williams and Drake have a romantic past
What makes Williams' appearance even more intriguing is that her and Drake have a romantic history. In the early to mid 2010s, the two reportedly dated on and off again.
But it's clear that that's very much in the past for Williams. Drake's friend count seems to be dwindling every day. It can't be a good sign that the entire stadium shouted "A-MINOR" during the song, only a week after the Grammys crowd did the same thing.
